MY NAME

My name is Sabrina. It is a latinization form of Harben, it is the original Welsh name of the river Severn. Sabrina was the name of a princess who was drowned in the Severn. Supposedly the river was named for her, but it is more likely that her name was actually derived from that of the river, which is of unknown meaning.

MY SURNAME

My surname is Slobodyanyuk. This surname descends from my paternal great grandfathers from Russia. I don't know what it mean but for me it's a strange surname.

STEVE JOBS

Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 in San Francisco. He was an American buisness man and inventor who played a key role in the success of Apple computers. In 1974, Jobs travelled with Daniel Kottke to India in search of spiritual enlightenment and he became Buddhist. Jobs meet Steve Wozniak during working for Atari computers. In 1976, Wozniak invented the first Apple I computer. Jobs, Wozniak and Ronald Wayne then set up apple computers. He died on 5 October 2011 in Palo Alto, California.

INVICTUS GAMES

It is an international adaptive multi-sport event, created by Prince Harry, in which wounded services personnel and their associated veterans take part in sports including wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball and indoor rowing. The event was inspired by WARRIOR GAMES:

WING SUITING

Wingsuit flying is the sport of gliding trough the air using a wingsuit which adds surface area to the human body to enable a significant increase in lift. While the parachute flight is normal, the canopy pilot tipically unzips arm wings to be able to reach the steering parachute toggles and control the descent path.

PinkStinks is a campaign and social enterprise that challenges the ‘culture of pink’ which invades every area of girls’ lives. It focus on providing real role models who will inspire and motivate girls to achieve great things based on ability and effort and not how you look.

HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD

Hollywood Boulevard is at the heart of the American dream.

The Walk of  Fame is a sidewalk where you see five-pointed stars.

There are over 2400 of these stars. 

They run for 2.1 km along the avenue.

They commemorate the lives and achievements of Hollywood's greatest celebrities.

There are stars for everyone, from Michael Jackson, Walt Disney, Charlie Chaplin...

Hollywood Boulevard lost its magic in the 1970. The avenue soon had a reputation for crime and violence. However, today the area is safe again. The Kodak Theatre is now the venue of the Oscar Awards ceremony. Then there is Grauman's Chinese Theatre. This is the most famous movie theatre in the world. Its famous for the hands and foots imprints set into the cement.
